Over the last 20 years building SaaS, I found myself building the same application infrastructure, over and over again. Each time it was better, of course, but time and money spent building infrastructure didn’t really differentiate us. It was just the stuff we needed to get our product off the ground. Over time, solutions emerged that allowed us to “buy” instead of “build”, but they were expensive. And a lot more complicated than we wanted. Or needed.
That’s why I’m building smplkit. Simple application infrastructure that just works. API-first. Built for developers, by developers. A free tier for everything and low-cost plans for small businesses and startups.
